ARTIST OF THE MONTH: KEVIN MCHUGH

Kevin McHugh is a NYC based artist that makes life size versions of "trophy" fish using fiberglass renderings, and then adorns them with sparkling exotic materials like mother of pearl or swarovski crystals. As a previous career manager for musicians and visual artists Kevin merged his creative aspirations with his desire for conserving these beautiful creatures of the ocean. A portion of each sale, goes to conserving the billfish population (deemed a "priority species" by the World Wildlife Fund), a species that is accountable for keeping our ecosystem running smoothly. I for one think that his works of art are a flawless representation of the beauty and elegance of nature, and really appreciate the influence that his work has on making a difference. Plus it's just rad!
