The Dalliance Design Team with Thom Filicia
Nicole and I got to spend last night with the talented and hysterical Thom Filicia. He was kind enough to grace us with his presence and do a book signing for his latest book. The event was hosted at Schwartz Design Showroom in Metuchen, NJ and was filled with fabulous designers that traveled from all parts of NY and NJ to have their copy of "American Beauty" signed. You can see my signed copy of his book below.. clearly Thom and I are best friends.

Alright, maybe the design concept is a bit more than just a hint of mint, but our current client installation is coming out great. These images are some original master bedroom presentations we proposed to our client in the Upper West Side. Nicole and I chose Benjamin Moore Cool Mint for the walls because not only is it a great fresh color but it is calm and relaxing, especially after a long hectic day of working in NYC. We can't wait to show you how it all turns out. Stay tuned..

Of course we have all had those moments of weakness when we see something that we just have to have. Like our life depends on it. Well, this cuff by Noir Jewelry was it. I had my eye on this piece for quite some time now, and obviously I scored it on Ebay. In fact, I tend to find my biggest ticket fashion items from there. I won't lie, I would have preferred the piece in gold, but I just couldn't swing $400 for a cuff, but I'm sure I'll be mixing and matching my metals when styling with this fine piece. So excited to rock it out!!!

Recently I was gathering up all my must-haves for fall on Pinterest and I noticed a small pattern of obsession with orange handbags.

Small. Obsession.

I guess that should be on top of the list this year...

Miss Lucy Newton is an artist and illustrator living and working in Edinburgh, Scotland. Oh, how I wish I could produce such vivid illustrations like these. She loves to experiment with different combinations of media including watercolour, acrylic, pen and ink, monoprint, pencil and collage. She is facinated by the natural world and it forms the basis of almost all her artwork. Her aim is to try and capture just a fraction of the beauty of the world around us. You can check out more on her porfolio here.
